For the last while, we have had the privilege of working with another amazing individual.  Alessandra came to Matrix of Motion after suffering for 2 years with severe pain from sciatica.  We have worked hard together and are certainly happy to say that she is now able to enjoy life and not worry about the discomforts that she once had!  I’m excited to see what is in store next as we continue to work on strengthening!  Check out Alessandras story below!  Great job Allesandra!!

  • Name: Alessandra Boudreau20150407_140333
  • Tell us a bit about yourself: I am a very busy grandmother of 2 amazing grandchildren who keep me moving all the time.
  • How long have you been working out with Matrix of Motion? It has been about a year since I started working with Greg.
  • What is your Workout/Exercise/Therapy history: I have always been a healthy person.  I used to workout at GoodLife Fitness and last worked with a personal trainer in 2008.  I also work with a fantastic massage therapist who helps keep my body working better as well.
  • Why did you start working with Matrix of Motion? I have had bulging discs in my lumbar spine.  After a bad fall in December 2012, I aggravated the bulging discs and my sciatic nerve began acting up causing unbearable pain for almost 2 years.  I was at the end of my tolerance with the pain and knew that I needed to find something else to help with the recovery.
  • What do you like most about working with Matrix of Motion? Doing M.A.T. with Greg has helped immensely as I no longer have sciatic pain anymore.  I have been able to see immediate results and has helped to regain strength in my legs and supporting muscles.  We continue with on-going exercise to ensure that I am strong enough to handle my daily activities.
  • What has your experience been like? My experience has been wonderful.  Greg has educated me and helped improve the quality of my life!
  • What are your goals? Anything specific that you are working towards?  My goal is to continue being pain free while being able to exercise more.  I want to continue building strength in my legs and back and hopefully improve flexibility as a result.
  • What do you use as motivation to help keep you moving forward? Motivation for me is the unwillingness to experience the severe pain that I once had.  I want to keep moving as easily as possible and going back to where I have been is enough motivation to keep moving forward.
  • 20150407_145325What advice can you offer to others who are looking to get in shape/become healthier/starting to exercise etc… Your body needs to keep moving as much as possible in order to not restrict you from enjoying life and feeling healthy!  Just remember to keep moving and ensure that everything in your body is working properly!
