Knowing Thanksgiving festivities were approaching didn’t bother me last week. I didn’t overthink what I was going to eat or how I was going to look. Instead, I did my level best to be thankful for my body!
My perspective on fitness has been changing lately. I saw a note somewhere that said, “I don’t diet and exercise, I train and eat”. I agree with that mostly, but think everyone has his or her own reasons to workout. Whatever yours may be, I think it’s most important to keep in mind that your body is a temple. It should be respected.
Since I began at Matrix of Motion, the main thing I’ve noticed in terms of physical changes is an increase in confidence and better posture. It doesn’t matter which feeling came first, what matters is that I have it going on! Haha. I can’t even differentiate if I’m becoming more curvy, or if I’m just happier with it now!?
Though life has been unsettled, hectic, and many factors are making it unstable right now, I am thankful to have this session each week. The exercises aren’t comfy, but it’s good for me. We hammer it out, I’m pushed to my limits, and am expected to excel. It truly has been my lifeline lately.
Let’s catch up next week,
Carli
